Kinnoull, February 2008
This was the first gathering of RYM since Limerick 07 and we came together in the beautiful city of Perth to catch up and spend time reminiscing about the congress that most of us attended the previous summer.
Fr Ed led us in a session on different ways of praying and we spent time experimenting with these. Examples included: Icon gazing, writing a letter to God, stations of the cross and praying by simply repeating the name 'Jesus'.
We split into smaller groups to prepare for mass which Fr Ed celebrated in the atmospheric and recently renovated crypt. Some prepared a drama while others organized the music and creative prayers of the faithful.
A highlight of the weekend was the walk up Kinnoull Hill. It was a beautiful winter's day and most of the group spent the Saturday afternoon climbing the hill and exploring the woods.
